Is it normal that i sleep so much?

I do cross country for 2hours after school, and weight lift for 1-2hrs at home. I eat very healthy (get all my daily vitamins and macros) because I lift for a nice body. Even then, I can sleep the whole day. I fall asleep in one of my classes everytime even if I get 7-8 hours of sleep.

Is it because I get bored easily...? Does being on the computer make me sleepy?

  • You are probably just naturally tired from exercise and keeping yourself busy. You are way more active than the average person, its no wonder that you feel tired all the time. If you have enough energy to still workout as much as you do I do not understand why you are worried. Do you make sure that you take at least a day or two off during the week from weight lifting so your muscles can recover and rebuild? I would definitely keep up the routine you have. It sounds like you are in good shape. Maybe try drinking a cup of black coffee during school. Also if you have the time try going to bed even earlier at night and see if that helps.

Everyone is different, but you really should go to a doctor. About a year ago I started falling asleep in class even after getting 8 hours. I started to worry because I fell asleep on the bus and in the car(passenger) That wasn't normal for me because I could get 5 hours of sleep and not fall asleep like that. I especially never fell asleep on the bus. I went to the doctor and found out my thyroid(directly linked to your energy level) was messed up. I now have to take a pill every day, but I feel normal again. So you should see a doctor to be safe.

You need more sleep. See the sleep chart on this link.
