Is it normal that i shutdown

This first started when i was 15 , but every since then i have these weeks which happen once every 5 months , where i completly shutdown. As in i dont talk to anyone , eat or laugh and i cant stand people who i loved being with. i get major depression and i start cring, the thing is it happens for no reason at all. Then it goes away and comes back rougly after one month.

I really need help , its so unpredictable!

This is not something like PMS , I wish it was, because then I wouldnt be suffering as much as I do. This is way more severe. The last time I felt this way was 2 months ago and it affected my grades so bad , I wouldnt eat or socialise all I wanted to do was lie in bed. Every day was a struggle for me,now I know I definetly have some type of condition , I just wish I knew what it was.

You could be bipolar and not even know it. Are you a very aggressive person? Or have very little patience for things that don't go your way?

PMDD. Premenstrual dysmorphic disorder, the more severe form of PMS. Good catch, guys! If you're a female, of course... ;)

Are you male or female? Like mysti said it sounds like it could be a dramatic hormonal imbalance related to PMS...IF you're female of course :)
Not to say that males cannot have hormonal imbalances.

This sounds more severe than the normal ups and downs we all get. It sounds like a form of depression. Possibly cyclothymia. Hard to say. You are going to need to get help. Either counseling and/or medication. Cheer up, though, while "abnormal", it is fixable!

It`s called life. This happens to everyone. No one is happy all the time.

  • Maybe some form of clinical depression? I'd definately ask a doctor.
