Is it normal that i separate food

Is it normal that I like to separate my food? I mean, I can't stand foods that are juicy like peas or beans or corn to touch anything else on my plate, so I put them in a separate bowl at dinnertime. This drives my husband crazy. I also don't like to mix food in my mouth. My husband loves to eat corn and mashed potatoes or mashed potatoes and beans at the same time and just the thought of doing that makes me want to vomit. Is this normal or am I just OCD??

My mom does this...I tell her well its going to look a LOT worse when its all mashed together in your stomach and even worse the next morning in the toilet.
My husband mixes everything together...salad, bread, pizza which I think is super gross.
Why cant they all be perfect like me?
Im not going to say youre ocd because hen people scrape their bowl with bread and eat it it makes me wanna puke too!

I separate my food because not everything tastes good mixed together. My stomach doesn't have taste buds, I don't give a fuck what happens after I chew and swallow, but while I'm tasting my food I don't wanna taste everything on my plate in every bite.

And it's not OCD. No one on this website knows what real OCD is.

I'm picky with food too, my plan is to eat in a way I never ate before. Weird to not mix food in your mouth, I love the mixing, the melting cheese, tomato and bread together in a pizza roll, if it didn't mix it wouldn't be the same. And by the way, I prefer rye bread.

I can't have my food touch either. My worst nightmare is someone "fixing a plate" for me. Ewwww!!! I don't have OCD as far as I know, but I've been this way since I was a kid (i'm 48) I used to eat all of one thing first, then the next, I have gotten past that, but I know where you are coming from.

I do that too. I don't think it's OCD, I think it's just that u are organized and keep things orderly.
