Is it normal, that i seem to cry over everything?

Ok, so I understand that some people are more emotional than others. That's quite clear. But, I am excessively emotional. I cry about everything. I wouldn't say I'm immature, it's just as if I'm too sensitive. I've been like this ever since I could remember. This is very embarrassing, I am constantly trying to hold back tears about everything. When I'm alone I let them go, but when I'm in public, I hate crying.

For example, I was playing with my cousin's baby not too long ago, and she started crying and I felt so horrible that I found myself holding back tears and apologizing to the baby.

I have even considered getting some sort of medication for this, if there actually is something.

Does anyone else experience this? Is it normal to cry so much? Am I over sensitive?

Could be due to a lot of different things. You need to consider a few things:
    your age?
how long you have been like this?
    the duration of the cry?
    the intensity of the cry?
Are their trends or common triggers for your crying?
    Time of day/month/year?
Try blogging it in a diary to find out trends?
so on and so fourth - you might be suprized that its nothing to worry about or its something you can fix or work on. I would recommend using meds as the last result.

That's a pretty good start. I'd also recommend seeing a doctor. The problem could be hormonal or caused by something else.
