Is it normal that i see things weirdly?

When I'm in school and I need to determine the x and y axis I can only remember which is which by thinking that y is lighter than x. Is this normal? I also color code subjects like Algebra and History, because I naturally associate the color with the subject.

This actually has a name, synesthesia. Very very interesting stuff. If you guys experience it, I consider you lucky.

Okay, I don't think it's the norm to think like that but I associate colors and single digit numbers, which is similar to the way u think. For example, six is always pink, four is purple, three is green, etc..but all the colors above ten are black.

that's just how the memory works; people remember everything in a certain way- for example, now that you mention it, I remember which way the x and y axis go because I think of 'x' as more broad than 'y' so I immediately remember that x is the horizontal and y is the vertical.. it's just a quick process that goes through your head every time you remember something- however, most people don't really notice it.

That there colour memory thang might be a fun way to play with neuro-plasticity in your brain. Y'all would like neuro-plasticity. It's the greatest thing since shooting squirrels, or doin sudoku puzzles. Btw, I know pi to 14 digits. It's like remembering 2 phone numbers without the area codes.
