Is it normal that i see things from a dream?

Four years ago I had a dream with a peculiar character in it named Simon he was frightening but at the same time trusting. After that I decided to make him a character in my stories I write. But that was where the possibly crazy began he actually started showing up in my life, full bodied clear and everything. Sometimes it's just his voice,him singing or him making snide remarks to kids at school.... I'm 17 and the only person who knows about him is my friend who has had a similar experience....what does this sound like am I completely insane? I've been diagnosed with a mood disorder but this is something completely different...

    If you're not jerking me around, I don't know what to think. I think it may be some spirit, if you saw it in a dream and now it is becoming part of your life. I believe shcizophrenics have a thinner barrier to that stuff but none of this is for sure, and you may not even have it. It might also be a self projection of yourself, the part of you that expresses what you wont, and also comforts you? The mind can do crazy things supernatural activity aside.

      I promise none of this is a lie, it's all true. Do you care to explain why you think it's a spirit or how that's connected to my mood disorder (which isn't schizophrenia it's psychotic depression but he was there long before I was diagnosed) or however you meant it. It would help a lot:)

        I believe that Simon may be your subconscious mind's way of dealing with life on a daily basis. If he's not hurting anything, then I don't see a problem with his existence. Just make sure you pay attention to what is going on in your noggin and to keep your emotions in check.

        I'm having difficulty keeping Claire in check as it is, I shouted at my husband the other day... No bueno. I can tell when Claire's emotions are welling up inside of me because it literally feels like fire creeping up from inside my lower rib-cage and up into my chest and out. I have to put a mental cork on it a lot of times when it's awkward or inappropriate, and then let that crap out later when it's convenient.

        It's a lot of work babysitting these two, just be thankful you only have ONE of them.

          With me it's just odd because he leaves me things... Like actual physical things. I'll find extremely old jewelry laying on my bed that I just made not 2 seconds before and I just turned around and book there's a ring beautiful thing I ask my nana about the ring and she doesn't recognize it so is was n not in the family and I know on the bed before I have had this happen with two rings a neckless a paper with odd handwriting its insane stuff and I swear to you I'm not lying not messing with anyone. And he sings I hear him so find whe miI'm upset its so bizarre not that I mind but I just want some information.....

    Was he physically there, or at least was there a real image, something you didn't entirely imagine, or is it like you said, just a presence?

      It's different everytime. Most of the time I can see him see him physically and clearly. But other times I can only hear his voice and other times I can just feel his presence with me. He sings me to sleep or makes snide comments to kids at school when they are rude but if course only I can hear him or see him.

      I mean he showed up but no one else can see him. And my friend had a very similar experience she just didn't start writing about the... Whatever it is until recently. But back to me and Simon, only I can hear him and see him or sense his presence. Explaining this makes me sound insane but its how it is...

        You don't sound insane to me!

        I currently have two other persona's inside my head. They aren't completely separate people, like in your case with Simon, but they're part of me.

        One of them is a younger version of me back when I had strawberry blonde straight hair instead of the dark brown/red wavy stuff I have today. She's a real pain in my ass and she bitches at me all of the time, but she's just trying to keep me in line and teach me things about myself that I didn't know or realize before.

        The other one is a completely made-up character I created named Claire. I used to role-play with people online and she was my go-to girl when elementals were involved. She can create and control fire by absorbing energy around her, she's got bright red straight hair and red eyes. She's got this calm, collected demeanor most of the time, but if you piss her off you better watch out!

        I'm starting to feel more of Claire come out into who I am today in the form of short outbursts of anger. I think this is mainly because for most of my short 20 years of life I've kept my emotions all bottled up and now the bottle's gettin' full. xD I have to watch Claire though, she may burn those she cares about if she's not careful. If you get what I mean.

        So yes, you're normal to me, completely.

        Simon sounds like a cool dude, btw... Mini Me and Claire and I wanna say hi! ^_~
