Is it normal that i see one image?

So my eyes are really bad, and my left one is lazy, it points inwards really obviously, (sometimes it's looking straight into my nose) but is it normal that, if I try really hard, I can see one image, with both my eyes?! I always thought everyone saw double, all the time, I actually didn't believe it was possible to see one image with two eyes, but now I'm not so sure... IIN?

    I think that people have misunderstood. The poster has a lazy eye and normally sees two images ( this is probably due to a muscular defect ) but if they try very hard, they can see one image, which is normal.
    I have a problem with my hearing that is analogous to this.

    With perfect vision or near perfect we see one image with both eyes. People
    Like yourself who see two probably need glasses

    With two eyes you see the same image in a slightly different angle. This way your brain gains perception and it is easier to judge distances better, but you only see one image.
