Is it normal that i runaway/avoid the girl that i like?

Im in university, this girl that i like BUT keep avoiding / ignoring or running away from her whenever i notice her or see her. even though she most probably likes me too cuz she always seems to look out for me or kind of ambush me and strike up a conversation ( mostly doesn't maintain that much :/)
So umm how can i stop doing that? ( i do it cuz im shy and because i fear awkward silence)

    Yeah I know what you mean, you just sound shy. Shyness in my opinion is an awful limitation. If you like her I'd do my very best to stop avoiding her, it's not everyday girls are the ones chasing you(at least not for me). Just think, Will you regret avoiding her when she finds interest in another guy, or when some bloke asks her out? Which will happen sooner or later. My advice to you would be to take advantage of your opportunities as they come, or else it won't be long before you realize they almost never comeback. I personally find its better to walk away with humiliation and failure then to of never tried. What if's and regret are an awful thing to live with. But no sweat, just be yourself and have fun. Push through the shyness, go after what would ultimately make you happy:)

    It's normal, but it's not good. I'm 32 now and still single because I was just as shy as you are. Just go for it!
