my shirt?? Okay so when I was a baby and my mom would hold me, I would rub my fingers on her bra. As I got bigger my mom taught me to rub my fingers on my shirt. I take my thumb and grab my shirt by the collar and rub my fingers on my shirt. I've done this ever since I was a little kid. It's a comfort, safety blanket/stress reducer thing. Anyways I am wondering if anyone else does this,

    My husband rubs the hem of his pants (when he has his leg crossed) or his shirt, too. He thinks it is comforting.

      I rub the hem of my shirt. I used rub my thumbs on my blanket when I was little. Guess the habit stuck with me. I sometimes don't even realize when I'm doing it. I agree, it's definitely a comfort thing. At least for me it is.

    I don't see that it is abnormal I chew on my finger nails to get rid of stress if that is what u do I do it to sometimes so..,.

    holy fuck! ive done that all my life. i even have worn holes into the hems of my shirts doing it. i wonder if theres a name for it like a condition or something

    I don't think I've ever done anything like that with my mom, but when I'm laying with my husband I do that to his shirts. When he leaves and is deployed or has CQ I'll sleep with his shirt and hold onto the cloth. It's comforting. Normal. :)

    I did that when i was little and it was a comfort thing but depending on how old you are you should work on stoppimg the habit. But on the other hand there are way worse things people do. :)
