Is it normal that i resisted an accidental acid cleaner leak?

I was playing with an muriatic acid before, then it leaked down to my arms. It's supposed to leave a burn or wound, but nothing happened?

    If you washed it right away and/or it was very aged, then okay. I've gotten oven cleaner on my hands and rinsed it off after a few minutes and was fine, but I didn't realize over spray had gotten in my shirt and about 15 minutes later I felt a burn and my skin was black and bleeding on my boob. It was gross. You should be careful.
