Is it normal that i remember the date of everything that happens

I'm used to it but I think it might sound weird to other people. I remember what date everything has happened and I remember everyone's birthdays. Of course I always know what the date is currently, though it often takes me a bit longer to remember because it always changes. I know there are other people around who are like this but not many. Am I normal?

    You may have a larger caudate nucleus than most people (in the brain) which is correlated with better memory for dates. There was a 60 minutes episode about this, with some people with memory like yours. Pretty rare though. Do you sort your memories by date too? Like you can think of all the things that have happened on every January 1st in your lifetime.

    I also remember numbers...from way back when..peoples birthdays that l have not seen for more than 30yrs and phone numbers that have long since changed and grown and have no place in my life. Some people with Aspergers have this...but it is NOT a sign of being an Aspie..so don't be thinking you have Aspergers.
    I think we all have strange little gifts and quirks..and remembering numbers is not such a bad one. Lol..although I remember peoples birthdays..I often forget to post a card !!

    Wow, is that what you would call a photographic memory? I think it is normal but also rare. I do not have a very good memory because of a lot of smoking and stuff that I did in past years. I have a hard time keeping up with the date without my watch on. I depend on it.

    Of course. I have a great memory for numbers and dates are just part of this. I could tell you joeaverage's birthday, even though he only mentioned it once in passing about six or seven months ago. There's no reason for me to remember it. It just happens that I don't forget stuff.
