Is it normal that i refuse to engage in casual sex or relationships?

As a college student, I have noticed that most of my peers enjoy having one night stands and sex with no commitment with friends (friends with benefits) However, even when I was single, I never wanted sex badly enough to sleep with someone that I didn't know or who couldn't commit to a relationship with me. Fortunately, I have a boyfriend who thinks the way that I do. I am never going to change (because I don't follow trends), but I am curious. Am I normal or just old-fashioned?

    I'm a guy (not that it should matter) and I'm the same, never had a one night stand and can't even imagine doing it to someone, I don't find it right, I believe I should be an act between lovers, not just for fun, I'm not religious in any way, I just believe that it's the proper thing to do. Take responsibility and all that.

    It's normal. In fact, keep doing so and there is a good chance that you will not contract VD or end up witha dead-beat baby daddy.

    Only you can choose who you have sex with. You don't have to do what other people do if it doesn't feel right to you.

    You are very normal, when I was single I felt the same way. I couldn't do the one night stand thing because the next day it made me feel dirty and guilty like i was doing something wrong. I want a relationship not just sex so yes your are a normal female:D live laugh love<3
