Ok here's this crazy story about my stupid mom!! I'm 29 mother of two my youngest sister is 23 with one child and noes lives with my mom. I went to my moms house one Sat to get back some items my sister had came to my house and stole, when I got there my sister goes off on me all in my face!! I gave her a warning to back off she wouldn't so we fought and I really beat her down!! She calls my mom and the police and my moms tells me not to ever come back to her house again!!! My mom doesn't want to hear anything about what really happened, just says I'm wrong!!! I feel like my mom should have never taken sides, but she did and if I never talk to her again I won't be sad at all!! And if my sister can't get over it then we don't have to talk either!!!

    you shouldn't be physically fighting anyone as an adult-unless it was to save your life.

    mind you, I have a crazy sister who has a way of bringing out the worst in even the most calm and patient people like myself-so I can understand to an extent, but we never let our disagreements cross over into actual fighting.

    but the best thing to do is cut people out of your life that are destructive and cause trouble-why put up with all this drama?

    as for expecting your mom to take your side, she might not be objective-plus you are in the same family patterns you were in as children.

    try to find better ways to get along with your family if you still want them in your life-you be the adult if they can't, otherwise cut them out.

    I get along well with all my family members except the crazy sister I mentioned. But I'm better off keeping a distance from her than allowing her to bring trouble into my life.

      That's my plan now to just live my life and let time heal the wounds. I live 2hrs away from the rest of my family so everything should work I hope anyways!!

        That's a good idea-it'll also give them time to reassess their behavior and if they want you in their lives also.

        I'm sure they probably do-but they need to learn to respect other people's boundaries.

        I used to have a serious hatred for my dad. He was a scumbag of a man-at least towards me. However as I grew older, got more assertive and eventually lived on my own everything changed.

        Now I see him as a friend and a source of great and indispensable advice-he's matured in his life and so have I. And hindsight being 20/20 while he was a bad father when I was younger, he was not as terrible as I used to think, compared to most dads. Plus I think I expected too much out of him.

    its normal that you hate your mom because everyone would in that situation, but it was also normal for your mother to have the kind of attitude towards you beating one of her kids even though it was your sister. Beating relatives once your over 14 isnt really agood idea now a days.

      Trust me I hate the fight happened, because I would hate to loose one of my sisters but if my mom would be a mom and get out the middle and say you two work it out my sister and I would be better off!!

    First of all this needs to be phrased better, you're hardly making any sense. And second of all, at 29 it is incredibly primitive to be beating up your sister. Imagine your children saw you guys clawing at each other like stupid chimps! This is not about your mom, this is about how childish you are

      The point is I know I was wrong for engaging in a fight with a younger sibling, but as a mother why would u choose sides??? This is a situation where a parent would need to be neutral and try to help!!!

        He was a regular drug dealer in the neighborhood who lived next door with his girlfriend. His name was Ty and it was well known in the neighborhood that he was a male slut, fucking every female in sight. Early last summer I had found out he wasn’t just fucking females…he has been fucking my tight ass at least twice a week since then.

    What were you and your sister even fighting about? It was wrong of both of you to get into a fight, and no normal parent would pick one of their kids' side over the other. So nobody was right in that situation.

      We were fight because she got all in my talking crazy noise!!!! I asked her to leave me be and she wouldn't!!!! But I defiantly agree we were both wrong and I hope our relationship is not ruined. But ur rite my mom is not normal at all Ians I strongly believe that if not for her my sister and I could have worked things out way easier!!!
