Is it normal that I think that asking a bunch of strangers on the internet for advice is totally unnecessary. I agree that there are a number of advantages to anonymity for people who need an unbiased opinion, but nobody from the online community is really going to relate to anything past his or her own experience. if you are wondering if your interests, skin condition, or religious conviction is normal, then you should remember that you are such a small fraction of the human population that it is next to impossible for you to be completely unique. NORMALITY IS SUBJECTIVE

    Op, obviously we are not "unique", and normality IS subjective, but it gives some sort of comfort to know that someone, even in an online community like iin, has been in the same or similar situation. If only one person experiences legit comfort or receives some sort of advice, then I think this site is completely valid and necessary.

    This kinda make no sense. True we are not unique there's always going to be someone who thinks like one another or dresses like one another but we are unique only in one way and thats through our genes and how do you know that out of all the people in this world that one is not going to understand what one is going through. Remember were not unique so some of us go through the same situations.
