Is it normal that i picture what our babies would look like?

So I think many would view this as superficial, but every time I see a girl as a potential gf, I picture what our babies would look like? I am a fairly scientific person so the extent in which I carry this thought process out is probably much more complex than the average persons (phenotype, genotypes, dominant/recessive traits, etc.) but curious to see if anyone else thinks about this or they just find the opposite sex as "hot"

      nothing. its all chance. but you can make possibility outcomes and if you see their parents alleles then your outcomes narrow down. Id prefer someone with a wider variety of likable outcomes over someone with a narrow variety. Though honestly, I live in a fairly existential state of mind so as much as I care, I really dont.

    Hahaha! I sadly have done this before. It's kinda embarrassing admitting it, but it's true. I'm guilty of doing this. I don't do it often though, but that's also because I don't really fall easily for people. And if I don't have a strong enough attraction to them, I don't find it easy to picture this stuff, or I just won't bother to picture it. I can't say whether it's normal or not, but you're certainly not alone.

    I know what you mean even though I myself don't do this... BUT, Over all yes it is normal.. i mean you wouldn't want ugly babies now would you! ;)

    ha i do the same thing, but im a girl and i would think its more common for females to do this. and i also have potential names. i also look at guys with blue eyes or dimples and imagine having that feature on my future baby.....mabe im going too far.
