Is it normal that i over think the name of the girl i have a crush on?

This girl I have a crush (DEEPLY) on, I tend to over think her name way to much. I took her original name (which I don't want to reveal here, you understand, right?) and shortened it to Chell, the name of the protagonist in the Portal series. Then due to the turret opera at the end where they substitute "Ciel" for Chell, I started thinking of her as Ciel. /Then/, I turned that into Ĉiela, (which means heavenly in Esperanto), and then I turned that into Ĉielnj, (which is basically a caressing form for a female name.) currently that's where I'm at, but is this normal? It seems a bit obsessive to me.
