So I've had like cheap beer all my life, and agreed with everyone that it wasn't that great and pretty shitty. But I never tried like, anything of a higher quality until the past few weeks, and for some reason I hate it even more that cheap beer. I like getting drunk, but just in terms of taste I would much rather have the cheap stuff.

i am a beer snob, and i do not appreciate such comments as 'i only like cheap beer.' what do you drink.. heineken, molson export, (GOD FORBID) coors light? the names that should never, EVER be mentioned with the word beer beside them: corona, stella artois (corona light and stella light should be damned well banished).
Drink good beers until you get too drunk to taste, then switch to shitty beers.

my brother and i used to live together and more often than not, we were broke so we drank a lot of PBR. not much has changed since then because we still drink cheap beer but at least we are not broke all the time anymore.

I shake my head at the yuppies who think expensive imported beer is the only way to go. It's all beer, it's all more or less made the same way. And if you're buying expensive beer, it's likely that you're just he victim of a marketing dig.
My preferred beer is local beer, which is cheaper. I also like local because there is less environmental impact in bringing it to me. And conveniently my local beer is also made from all natural ingredients.
I don't want the environment to pay for my alcoholism!
