Is it normal that i only brush my teeth every week or so?

Exactly what it says in the question. Semi-lately I've been brushing more often, but normally I brush weekly. This has been mostly related to me never having a daily routine, not laziness. I just... never think to do it because its not ingrained in me.

Kurt Cobain never brushed his teeth. He said that eating apples had the same effect. Apparently his teeth were in good nick up until the age of 27.

I am wondering if plaque protects teeth from getting cavities ...

Good luck with microscopic worms growing between your teeth. Good luck when your teeth fall off.

That is absolutely disgusting! Good luck finding a boyfriend/girlfriend who will put up with that. And have a fun time when you get gingivitis and your teeth fall out.

Same here, and I'm not proud of it.
A week ago I went to the dentist, which was over 3 years when I last saw him. No cavities, just a lot of plaque

But thanks for reminding me to brush my teeth today.

Two times a day should be the very minimum.

I've done that before. My gums were bleeding and when I went to the dentist he said I had fifteen small cavities. I brush my teeth 3 times a day and I feel fressshhh.

Yep. I did that as a teenager - hardly EVER brushed my teeth. Then I went to the dentist, had twelve cavities, and had to come in to get them fixed three days in a row. Now I can't imagine having gross-mouth all day.

It isn't hygienic, but I don't even know when I last brushed my teeth! Everyone else is just freaking out because it's kinda disgusting, but to be honest, I don't care XD

Are you at least flossing and using mouthwash? The sugars and stuff that you eat can wear down your tooth enamel.
