Is it normal that i observe myself?

I sometimes just start writing about myself as if I'm a scientist observing a subject in a test of some sort. I take mental notes during the situation. To give you an idea, here's a bit of my latest entry...

"Upon exposure to large groups of persons, subject (self) retains a chiefly aloof demeanor. Little to no visible emotion is expressed outwardly as somewhat disheartened thoughts disengage general awareness of the self and surrounding crowd..."

Is this normal?

    LOL

    i like your style.

do you write short stories or anything like that? i'm a writer myself, and i find that i am almost always--in any social situation--observing others as potential literary material.

First off, I like your writing style as I see it in your entry sample. It is very clinical while still have a window into the subjects inner mechanisms. But as it is you writing about yourself of course you would have that vantage point.
I think it is basically just writing like many others may journal or make use of a diary. The only difference is your angle. Maybe one day your career will reflect your ability to put words together the way you do.
This actually reminds me of how, for at least a decade, I lived every minute of my life like there was a camera in my face. Like I was Truman of the movie "The Truman Show".

I do that sometimes. The only difference is, I don't write it down.

It can be amusing at times and by distancing yourself from the situation, it's easier to form a picture of your own behaviour. I'm sure you have your own reasons as to why you do it lol.

    Love the latest xD

I have no idea what you're talking about. If you're trying to be one of the smart scientists (Albert Einstien) then so be it. You just like observing, but you might want to try observing something else. (Flowers, Cars, Ants)

Or you have nothing to do with your life so you write about pointless things.

This is a really good question because i have no idea. I would say... it might be normal. U msy be to hard on yourself or very judgmental on your actions.
