Is it normal that i never want to see my family again?

My twin sister was renting a house from our VERY rich, although white trash, aunt. Our aunt wanted her son to room with my sister (he was attempting school for the 4th time). This was fine, but my sister had to go through our aunt rather than directly with our cousin (he's the "greatest thing ever to happen to football" BLAH!...he's 30 and has never worked a day in his life, although his sister works her ass off). Long story short our aunt got pissed that my sister said he can't have his dog or friends there (his friends lived there before she moved in and the house needed complete remodeling since it was trashed). My sister did all of it herself. She has a young daughter too. Our aunt up and raised her rent to $1500 a month and then (in the same email told her to leave within 2 days). She kicked my sister and her daughter out. They didn't have any place to go, so she ended up moving in with her husband and his boyfriend (a whole other story). Besides me, not one family member called to see how she was or help her in any way. Not only that but this white trash aunt with money threatened to sue my sister for trashing her house when she moved out, which wasn't the case since I helped her move. We grew up in this large family where terms like nigger, spic, and raghead were used at the dinner table (after grace). Luckily none of those hatred seeds sprouted in either of us (and two other cousins). Do other people have such irrational and narrow minded family members??

Yes they do. My bf is one of them, along with his family...and I'm asian. As long as you don't support those hateful views and continue to support your sister, you're good. I'm sorry for your sister's situation. That's bullshit.

Yes. It happens. Racist comments deal with their generation, growing up in a time when that was natural. As for crazy family theres always one who goes beyond the rediculous spectrum. Or maybe the whole family. Its almost the whole family for me. Oh well. As long as youre there to support her i think youll be fine.
