Is it normal that i never get sick anymore?

Ok, so it seems that I am pretty immune to getting sick. I havent' had a serious case of the flu or colds for years now. At most I get a sore throat for a day.
I am NOT healthy - I love junk food, I smoke, I drink and I hardly excerise. Despite all this, I am also not overweight.
I do have anxiety problems, and don't have many friends, but those that I do have are very close to me. (I read somewhere that mental issues and lonelyness can cause you to get sick too)
I know I should be happy that I'm not overweight and that I don't get sick, but it just doesn't make sense?
You always read everywhere about the importance of a healthy lifestyle for not getting sick, yet it doesn't affect me at all?

It could be that you are consuming foods with immune boosting capabilities. These would include Onions, Garlic, Elderberry, certain mushrooms (Reiki, Reishi, Maitake, Shitake, etc) Or it could be something else like Genes.

  • It seems that people like you are not uncommon. Many people in my family are like this. My great great grandma was a smoker and whatnot and died at age 104. My great grandma died at 94, she was not all too health conscious either. All off my grand parents are still alive and I am 24. You will probably be one of those people that lives well into their 80s or longer. It is funny because some people who constantly watch their health die in ironic ways. You should still take care of your health as much as you can though. **blows healthy load**

Are you around people often? How many people do you normally see?

    • I am around people everyday. I work in a small office of about 10 people who all regularly get sick.
I study afterhours, and three days a week I am in class with about 20 other people.
