Well people! tell me! is it normal that i can't blush? my skin tone is medium/light-ish tan. and it could clearly be shown. so there's really no excuse. i mean when a situation comes up, i feel my face SUPER HOT! but no color.... so tell me guys.
Hi. Yes, it's fairly common. We have blood close to the skin (cutaneous blood) to regulate heat. It's why we get red when we're hot. The blood is closer to the skin, and is cooled more by the air. Blushing (and flushing) are the same effect but for different reasons. Our bodies are all made differently and if your cutaneous blood is generally deeper, you'll blush less.
I blush all the time, especially when someone I like teases me. I can't help it, I might be one of the most shy guy around where I live. One time I went to a wrestling tournament, and this girl I like is a cheerleader. Well when we were in the hotel later that night, she was teasing me how we were boyfriend/girlfriend, but we were not, and she started to complement me on my wrestling skills, which made me blush to the point where I stood up and walked out of the lobby ( which is where I was hanging out with her and all of my friends that came with us) and I darted to my hotel room, I didn't come back out of the room until the next morning because I was so shy. And my best friends little sister, always teases me and makes me blush on purpose, because she thinks it is very cute..... I don't hate her for doing it, but still. Haha
I cannot blush too sometimes it is so good specially while playing it cool but other times it is kinda annoying cuz u seem unaffected while u r shy...if u know what i mean

It doesn't depend on your skin tone. It's all about how close are blood vessels to your skin.
E.g. I'm olive-skinned and don't blush with my cheeks at all, though my nose blushes :D it also turns red when I feel cold so I look like Rudolph the Reindeer xD
Most people who aren't white don't blush. Unless you are really pale it is hard to blush.
I'm a blusher, and I HAAAAATE IT! My teacher once embarresed me in class when I wasn't paying attention and told me to answer a question and waited until I said anything....My face felt hot for a good, awkward 5 minutes of silence, then I was like, "Uh....E=mc2?" xD
Haha, same here! This is the first time in my life I see myself blushing (but only because I have a slight fever). Otherwise, I never blush.
I blush. And I'll tell you, it's a bitch. Pretty embarrasing. Anyhow, it's normal. It just means you're cutaneous blood is deeper.
