Is it normal that i never been to a concert?

I just can't see what's the point of going to a concert, I'd rather just download the music and listen to it in my headphones or play it in the car. Also when you download it it's a better quality, no screaming girls next to you.

I just don't like the party atmosphere thing.

Ooh, you're missing out. With either music or comedy, there's an energy which you don't get on a recording. It's particularly true of comedy, when a skilled comedian is judging his/her audience and is almost playing them. But it's still true of music when the performers are feeding off the energy of the crowd. It's almost a symbiotic thing and it outweighs any annoyance (even the idiot who kept saying "meow" in an annoying voice every time the comedian delivered a punchline). And no, it wasn't me. :P

    Hiya,

Unless there's somebody you'd crawl over broken glass to see live it's pointless.

I'd say the atmosphere of the concert depends on who you're going to see.

The best concerts are usually those at very small venues, arts centres etc. Even if you go & it's crap, go –- you might regret it. I think you may be thinking of the wrong type of gig; I highly doubt there'll be shrieking girls at a heavy metal concert, or one by a band fronted by a woman.

& you don't have to have a t-shirt. In my experience they're expensive, never fitted me properly or looked right (hoodies, which tend to suit me better, were even more expensive), fell apart after I’d worn them about three times, & my dog ended up with them.

I don't know if you listen to heavy metal. But if you do you are really missing out!

I don't care for concerts -I've been to many- but I do recommend trying it out once.

how old are you? Actually, doesn't matter. Some people don't like crowds of people. Personally, I hadn't been to one until I was 17. I felt the same as you, until I experienced it.

Another thing that would most likely effect the experience is the genre. For the most part, they're awesome.

I am an old fart however...

Before we check out of this world we will look back and review our experiences.

Listening to your favorite band on the stereo involves you experiencing the clear sound it generates. Concerts allow you to experience music on many levels creating a greater whole.

The experience of listening to Bruce Springsteen and the E street band playing "Thunder Road" or "Badlands" on your stereo as opposed to in concert is like comparing oranges to underwear.

Go to the concert even if it means $75 for a T-shirt.

You know what? I followed bands on tour, collected tickets, played on my own band's tour and probably I'm so fed up that I totally agree with you at this point. Maybe I'm just getting old, lol.

You should at least try it one time.

The first real concert I went to was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!
