Is it normal that i need to squirt a lot when ovulating?

Hi there,

I’m starting to think that I’m really hormone sensitive. My hormones reek havoc in my life. I get migraines before and during my period, I appear anaemic at times (even though I am not), I can distinctly feel the changes in my temperature during my luteal and follicular phase each month, without needing to monitor anything - to the point that during my luteal phase, that my temperature is warmer and my face is a strong pink flushed 75% of the time. I also suffered morning sickness on the pill!!

During ovulation, I get the very obvious egg-white stretchy discharge, which is copious at times (no odour or itching etc - it’s just ovulation discharge). I also notice that my sex drive peaks at this time.
I know this is quite normal.

However, for the three or so days that I ovulate, I experience terrible insomnia, to the point that I may literally only have 1 hour of sleep those nights. I feel less tired at this time, but the main cause is a strange sensation in my mid-upper pelvis. It’s hard to describe what it feels like, it just seems to be a heightened awareness of that area of my body, so much so, that I can’t sleep. The only way to get rid of the “feeling” is through penetration, until I squirt. And when I squirt, I don’t just mean a little bit, I mean a lot, multiple times. It would definitely be above 500mls. So I will need to masturbate (penetration only, as clitoral just makes the feeling worse) multiple times, until I feel like I’ve emptied all the fluid out (it has no odour, if anything, it smells slightly like a sweetened saline, and it is clear). So I’m not sure if that “feeling” that I get is actually a build up of fluid that I need to squirt out. I’m unable to fall asleep until I have squirted numerous amounts, until I’m basically empty, and that “feeling” has gone away.
I’ve struggled with this “feeling” and insomnia ever since I turned 14, two weeks before I got my first period. However it wasn’t until later, in my twenties, that I discovered that it was actually a need to squirt.
It’s actually very frustrating. I’ll be up until 4am masturbating, sometimes up to 8 times in one night, just trying to get rid of the feeling, and fluid. It’s absolutely exhausting. And sometimes causes problems with work, as I might need to then call in sick, or come in late as a result, just to avoid coming in tired, as my job involves huge responsibility, where if I make a mistake, it could lead to the death of someone.
So this is what I mean when I say that my hormones reek havoc in my life.
This problem is literally too embarrassing to tell my workplace, family or friends, and even my doctor.
I’ve had my hormones checked many times before, and I don’t have any imbalances.

It’s very frustrating. I’m 31 years old, and also single, so it’s a huge struggle.

Does anyone else experience anything like this? Or know of, or has heard of anything like this?

Thanks.

Wombs are strange strange things. And the fact that people with wombs have to go through a hormonal cycle and be poisoned by progesterone seems utterly wrong to me.

I have a feeling I used to experience similar once upon a time. I know I get really unpleasant ovulatory pain at random times during the month and sometimes PMDD symptoms make me suicidal (and other times all I can do is get myself off ad nausaeum)
