No matter what age you are, it is totally normal, at least in my world, to like being alone...I have always thoroughly enjoyed my own company for as long as I can remember...I've always had "friends" and I have a sibling of whom I was pseudo-reared with, i.e. relationship fostered between the two of us via parents due to age and gender differences, however, there was nothing quite like tending to my own thoughts, emotions, and interests for whatever they may be or have been at the time...I never cared for large gatherings of people, such as concerts, malls, amusement parks, etc...I actually enjoy the events themselves, just MINUS the PEOPLE...I value my alone time to the utmost....

I like being alone. Sometimes I want people around which is what friends are for. But in general, I like being alone to think about things. The only reason I have friends is more or less for emotional support.

Technically, not normal. But who cares? About 25% of people prefer to be alone and are considered introverts. The other 75% just think you're lying and can't make friends or you're crazy. Don't worry, it's fine to feel whatever you feel!
