Is it normal that i mix soda and milk?

I do this thing where I pour half a glass of milk, add a dash of sugar and vanilla, and then stir in soda. My favorite are ginger ale and cherry Dr pepper. My parents think it's weird af, but one of my friends tried it and loved it. Is this normal?

    If coca-cola and ice-cream are good together, why not milk instead. I have had floats where the ice cream had melted and it wasn't bad.

    I heard about this fairly recently and gave it a shot. It's alright, but only in sips; certainly not the type of thing I'd want to guzzle glassfuls of.

    Laverne and Shirley used to drink milk and Pepsi. I tried it when I was a kid, because I saw it on TV, but I thought it was gross.
