Is it normal that i messed around with my best friend?

I found out that my best friend and i have liked each other since we've met and were practically in love with each others existence.

He has a girlfriend but he decided to still cheat on her with me. Im not a cheater so tried to call it off between us but he didnt want to so we just kept on, i did it cause she wasn't my friend and i really liked him. As of right now they've been together almost a month and a half.

We cheated for most their relationship and he called it off yesterday. (I was hurt but didn't mind much)
It just bothers me that he lied to the his friend(the only person that knows) about what happened between me and him. Like our first kiss, he said i kissed him when its the other way around and that i pressured him into it when i didnt cause it was his idea.
Is it normal i let him get away with it and treat me this way?

    The whole situation isn't normal, or morally right. Don't blame it all on him, he obviously wasn't the only offender. My only thought is that if he cheats that easily, it's probably not going to be the first time, even if he's with you.

    Well, he's changing facts because he has something to lose. I am surprised he even manned up and told her. Obviously, though, if he was truthful about it all being his fault, he would hurt her even more.
    So ya, I would also be irritated, but probably let it slide and take part of the blame.
    No using being bitter, he made his decision-

      I guess your right about letting it slide, he's still my best friend and i do take part of the blame .it just aggravates me that he lies.
