Is it normal that i masturbate by lying on my front and hump my bed?

When i was young, I discovered that lying on my front and slowly moving my hips from side to side was stimulating, before I even knew what I was doing. I kept doing it, and after a while I came for the first time, and I realised that this was what masturbation was. I continued to do it, a normal amount, more as a teenager but now once a day or so. I have never achieved orgasm or ejaculation through traditional hand based methods. I have tried to, but it feels strange to me and so I revert to my method. Sex is normal and good, no problems there, but hand jobs are weird, I can endure it, but it puts me on edge and I know I won't ejaculate. Blowjobs provide not much sensation at all, and whilst really enjoyable (much more so than hand jobs) and sometimes really good, I have never ejaculated from them and don't know if I can. Does anyone know of anything like this?
