Is it normal that i'm very sexually attracted to geeks?

So hey,

I'm 19 and I guess I'm a really cute girl. In high school I had lots of boyfriends, about 6-7, all of which were 'loners' or down-strait geeks - poor hygiene, computer nerds, social issues, n friends, talked little or none. Whenever I saw an awkward student in school/uni I would think he was probably very shy and had lots of interesting things to tell and I could 'open them up' if I hanged out with them - and every time I ended up falling in love and making him my boyfriend.

I'm not sure if I have emotional issues or if mothering is involved, I think I've simply always found the awkward-geeky type of men extremely sexually arousing. The fact that all of them were virgins and that I would have to 'teach them' fueled all my teenage fantasies . . .

I don't think that it's normal because all the girls I talked to thought my choices and tastes in men were weird - like about everything about me. I don't know if geek men do fantasize about geek girls.

SO yeah, anyway. Anything weird there?

    To be honest, you sound like you're full of yourself. I think its a good thing for those boys tho, but i don't think they could expect a long-term relationship from you.

    People that retreat from social situations aren't bad, they just have a different set of boundaries and it sounds like you know how to tap into that and its not a bad thing. I'm sure it will or is rewarding to you and will pay off because those "jocks" that are too into themselves are going to backfire on people especially those that are arrogant.

    Well, I will say that you genuinely do sound attracted to geeks and not attractive guys with glasses, not that they can't be both. I'm sure that there are a lot of geeks out there who hope to meet a girl like you. Ignore your what your friends say, I'm glad that people like you exist.

    Nerds are the alpha males of the futures. Yeah we don't get as much pussy as the jocks but in the end we're the ones running the company, doing lines of coke and fucking super models so it all works out in the end lol...I hope

    Maybe you like the idea of being the 'dominant' partner. Sometimes passive people can be quite attractive and perhaps it's that mystery of their true character that you find interesting?

    Also, it's probably quite rewarding to be able to 'discover' what someone's like, instead of dating someone whose personality is more open.

    Lets get this straight. You fall in "love" everytime? So your 19 and have loved 6 or 7 guys? Ohhhh dear... To be young eh.

    Anyway, sarcasm out the way now. Going for geeky people is less likely to get your hurt. Im guessing that has somthing to do with it...

      In french 'being in love' and 'loving' are very different things since the latter implies some commitment. I guess that 'être amoureuse' falls in between 'having a crush' and 'falling in love' but english is very ambiguous for levels so feelings, so, no, I didn't mean any kind of commitment kind of love, more of a teenage thing. 'loving' to me means 'engaged'.

      As for getting hurt less often, I'm not sure, some of you guys are just too hardcore. I've been told stuff like "Before I met you my life was all like, pet dog, get 10 points". Since geeks are not good at communication, I've been dumped without even knowing it sometimes... the worst way if you ask me...

    nothing wrong with liking geeks, but bad hygiene? i'm guessing by that, you mean like messy hair, untamed beard, or something like that, maybe, i dunno, hey, everyone likes what they like after all!

    Anyways, you sound like a one-in-a million girl who would be great to be around!

    Nothing wrong with being the "Dominant", or more outgoing partner, especially if you like the shy/Awkward/introverted guys. Heck, I certainly would not be bothered by the girl asking me out first, id certainly welcome it!

    Bad hygiene, huh? A dirty person with body odor is an automatic disqualification as far as I'm concerned. And don't get me started on bad breath and dirty teeth.

    The definition of geek is a intelligent person with an obsession of some sort and an attraction to technology. Not all geeks are technology experts, but certainly have interest in it. Geeks can be awkward shut ins or fairly outgoing, they can be attractive or ugly. However, any hot guy or girl with glasses isn't an instant geek. Also, while it isn't necessarily common knowledge, I see a true geek as someone who isn't a total asshole to those who typically don't deserve it. If you're being honest, then that's good, but you don't seem to understand what a geek is.

    It's normal. Everyone likes what they like. I fall head over heals for the gothic type, but we're all different in our taste and that includes sexually. Don't sweat it.
