Is it normal that i'm very obsessed with a fictional character?

This English (British)'soap opera called Hollyoaks that my English friend showed me on YouTube, I'm obsessed with the character Nancy Hayton. She was this punk rock teenagers and seemed cool but now she's this superficial stick up high maintenance woman. She cheated on her fine good-looking hunk husband Darren. He's no good either but Nancy is a very lucky woman to have handsome strong tall man like that. She's short and she's luckt because men mostly like shorter women. I hate her character with a passion now but still like her. I'm so jealous of Nancy and sometimes I want to go over there and slap her across the face. UGH!!!!!! I CAN'T STAND HER!! How did she even get in the soap opera in the first place? The character I mean. Why can't Nancy just leave for GOOD?!

    Wow. You need to go outside. Start slowly. Just open the front door and peek out a bit. Then try taking a step out. Maybe even sit down on the steps or a lawn chair and just breathe, breathe in the air. Close your eyes and hear the glorious sounds of nature and the world around you. Even the sound of cars can be soothing...did you hear that? A rustle in the brush...what could it be?!? Ooohh a chipmunk with stuffed cheeks! How cuute!!!

    It's normal but you asked about this already. Do you actually hate the character or the actress who plays Nancy? Just move on with your like and stop hating on characters that don't even exist. You sound very crazy.

    I know how it feels to hate-obsess over a character. I used to be hate-obsessed with House. My family absolutely loved him, but I hated his guts. House represents everything that is wrong with humanity - arrogance, negative attitude, cruelty and addiction, among others that I'm probably forgetting. Even worse was that he always got away with everything because he was always right.

    And yet the funny thing is, no matter how much I hated that fuckin' character and complained about everything he said or did, I still tortured myself by tuning in to his shenanigans every week (mostly so I could socialize with my parents during the commercial breaks).

    What is the deal with this Hollyoaks crap? If this show is taking over your life, just stop watching it. You are never going to meet the man of your dreams if you are stuck at home watching british soap operas and obsessing over people that don't exist.
