Is it normal that i'm upset over what my boyfriend did?

A short time ago, my boyfriend got caught smoking marijuana. He now has to attend drug counseling for a few months. Today, I couldn't find him with our group of friends like I usually do. Then later, he came back and said he left me for a while to smoke some pot. Is it normal that I'm upset that he left me to go do that without telling me? I'm also upset that he'll get caught again, is it normal I'm offended/hurt?

    Somking pot isnt that big of a deal. Drinking is way worse of a habbit trust me.

    Well I'm a pot smoker myself and I can tell you he probably feels like it's not a big deal and that everyone is overreactting.....

    Don't turn him in. Seriously, that is the lamest advice I've ever heard. If you want nothing to do with him anymore, then that's your decision. But don't make things harder for him.

    Express your frustration with your boyfriend, and tell him what you think about what he's doing. He hasn't chosen pot over you yet; you have yet to give him the ultimatum. He probably thinks he can have you and get away with smoking, too. If he's smart enough to avoid getting caught again, then he's probably right, depending upon how you react. Remember, pot smokers don't think it's a big deal that they smoke. It's all about perspective.

    It could turn into trouble later. I'd say it's rude and I don't blame you for being upset. I would just turn him in but ,that may be tough for you.

    You should ask him why he does it though. Maybe he needs stress relief or does it for social purposes or something...either way there are better things to do for issues like that.
