When I had told my ex I loved him, he denied me. I'm scared of saying it to my now boyfriend, due to what happened.

    Putting yourself out there in any relationship means coming to terms with the possibility of rejection. Making yourself vulnerable is difficult for anyone, but you have to decide whether the rewards outweigh the risks. I'd say if you really love someone, it's worth it. Doesn't make it easy, but it is what it is.
