Is it normal that i'm this hairy?

Okay, so I'm in high school, but ever since middle school, I've been terrified of the locker room. Why? Because I'm abnormally hairy (or so I think). I know most people have hair on their arms, armpits, legs, etc. But I have hair EVERYWHERE. My back, shoulders, stomach, butt (the cheeks, too), my knuckles, the tops of y feet, and even my chest have dark, very noticable hair. It is normal? If not, what should I do? My face is also hairy, I shave my mustache & chin, & just pluck my thick eyebrows. But I have hair on the cheeks of my face too! I shave my arms, legs, and armpits but I think it would be annoying/time consuming to shave it. Also, I HAVE tried laser hair removal, & it didn't work for me. It was back in a month. & it's really expensive. I wax my eyebrows, but I don't want "stubble" all on my body. Please help :( If it matters, I'm Italian and Puerto Rican, with olive skin. Is this at all normal?

No don't get waxed or anything like that, you are at a sensitive age, but in a couple of years you will regret if you do get waxed, in fact if you don't get waxed by the time you leave your teens you will in fact be very proud of how hairy you are, most guys go though that phase in life when they don't want to strip off to let people see their bare chests, hairy or not hairy, I was like that for a time in my teens, but after 20 I was very proud to show off how hairy I was. So my advice to you is remain hairy and you will eventually accept your body the way nature intended.

I noticed when I was on holiday, both in Italy and Spain, (not the same year) that most of the men in these countries had hairy arms, in particular Spanish men have what I would say, very hairy arms, although their legs are not as hairy, strange.

I have had hairy shoulders and hairy chest since I was a teenager, it was only in my teens I was a little shy on stripping off, but after that I did not care what people thought of how hairy I was. In fact over the years I always wear sleeveless tank top vests, that shows all the hair I have on my shoulders, so if you are like me, be proud and show the world that you are not ashamed on how hairy you are. I wear shorts to show off my hairy legs, short or sleeveless vests or T shirts to show off my hairy arms and shoulders, don't be shy, be proud men on how hairy you are.

Well most, but Italy is not the only country in Europe who have hairy men, I come from the UK, in the summer months, well when the sun does shine, usually for about 2 days, all the men strip off to get as much suntan as they can, I have noticed that the majority of British men do have some hair on their chest, not many don't. So it is not just Italy who have men with hairy chests, most in the UK have as well.

Hair on the back or the top of the hands or feet (in girls) is not unusual for certain cultures, but hair on the cheeks is definitely not normal in someone who's not out of high school. Some older women get hair on the face after menopause, when their body mostly stops producing estrogen. Maybe you have a hormonal inbalance?

Are you overweight? I know the person above me said it might be PCOS--and it might, but the only way to cure it is through exercise and diet

You are a girl, right? If so, you could have a hormone imbalance. Check out PCOS online, for instance. (Certainly your ethnic background may have an influence, as well as genetics.) I would go to a doctor and get some bloodwork done to find out what's going on. The locker room is hard enough without being self-conscious about this, you poor thing. Good luck. Btw -- there are ways doctors can help get hormones under control, and the earlier you know what's going on, the better for your overall health.

I assumed the letter was from a guy not a girl, I replied as if HE was a male, if the original is from a female, sorry, my advice was for a man.
