Is it normal that i'm thinking about someone out of nowhere

So i was a friend with this girl six years ago. We were really close but I never though of her in any sexual or romantic way. She traveled five years ago and we never spoke ever since. Last week out of nowhere I start think about her a lot in a romantic way like I think that I love her. My question is why do i feel this and how did it happen just like this I started thinking about her. I literally woke up think about her and it's been a week now. Please guys I really need some help here.

    Something must have planted this romantic seed in your head. Maybe you met someone who reminded you of the situation or you had a dream you don't quite remember or someone asked you about her and it got you thinking..or you could just be lonely or nostalgic.

      I really don't know, its really weird and in the mean time I'm trying to contact her but no result yet.
