Is it normal that i'm terrified of sunscreen?

For as long as I remember, I've been scared of coming into contact with sunscreen. I'm not sure what it is about it that makes me squrim. When I was younger and cared less that people heard, I would actually scream. Now I just sort of shiver and back away. Even the smell will get to me. No one I've ever told this to has had any idea what I was talking about, and I'm scared I might be the only one.

You should fear skin cancer more than a little sun screen... think of it as lotion... its only lotion.. its rubs into your skin and PROTECTS you. When you get home you can always take a shower and wash it off. :)

the sun isn't bad, i'd say don't use sunscreen and limit your skin-sun contact. I've never used sunscreen in my life and have had very few sunburns (2 or 3 that i can remember)

  • I've never heard of it, but people do have a lot of unusual phobias. Maybe you could use plain yogurt as an alternative (my grandma used it).
