I just can't seem to let that person go. I still value them a lot, even though I told them that I no longer have feelings for them. I still try and reach out to them and care for them. It's almost been a year.

    If you gave a shit about the person then it's standard to talk to them. There are people who remain friends with their exes, crazy I know, because the majority of tards ready to offer their opinion think that's impossible because they've never accomplished such a great feat.

    There isn't enough to your post to really judge though.
