Is it normal that i'm so skinny and can't gain weight?

I eat ... A LOT !! Out of my friend group , I can say that I'm the smallest , and I eat the most. I really want to gain weight. It seems as if everything I eat , goes to my stomach. And its embarrassing , because I'm so small with a big belly. I'm afraid that this might become a serious health issue as I get older. Is this normal?

    Okay if you want to gain weight this is what you should go to the pharmacy and purchase Peritol its a pill that anorexics are given to gain weight I'm not saying you are but telling you what its for it makes you gain weight but it makes you sleepy its totally safe sometimes no matter what you eat you just can't gain weight you can google peritol pills do your own research and talk to your pharmacist aswell it works like a charm I was really skinny but that's because I was a model after I quit I realized that being too skinny is not normal I did everything to gain weight I ate all the foods that I denied myself for years nothing worked my doctor recommended Peritol it worked I'm still skinny but I have meat on my bones and a nice shape it definitely works

  • If your a girl, i'd say it's just water retention. Depends if your belly is mushy(fat) or kindof hard (retention). Try not to worry about it, just eat HEALTHY. If you et lots of junk food and fatty meals, change your diet in a subtle way by simply eatin more veggies and fruits, more fiber... Hope i helped:)

    Yeah I'm the same as you.. I tried so much shit to gain weight since I was a kid, but whatever. For some males growth continues on until 23 years of age.

    I'm 20 now, so I'm waiting a couple of years until my growth stops and then I can gain weight and gain muscles.. My diet is shitty anyways, i seldom eat healthy shit.

    I tried hitting the gym when I was 17, but it really didn't get me to grow. It's because I was just too young. Some people have a slower metabolism. Some 17 year olds can build up no problem... it depends on your metabolism, and depends on when the person's growth stops.

    It may seem like you are eating a lot when you are around others, but what about when you are alone? Also, what types of foods are you eating? If you are getting proper nutrition from the foods that you are eating it can lead to being skinny with a protruded stomach. Ask your school nurse for information about nutritional guidelines for someone your age.
