Is it normal that i'm shocked by what my grandma told me

I've recently been told by my grandmother that before she met my grandfather she was engaged with another man, then at a party she met my grandpa, they dated, she broke up with the other man and married my grandpa.
I was very surprised by this story and couldn't believe it, all of my family was like "didn't you know?" but I seem to be the only one in my family to not know.
I don't know why but I'm really disappointed and ashamed with my grandma because she cheated on her ex, even thow it,s a good thing it did happen other wise me and my brothers would not be alive.

Is it normal??

We think older people are somehow more moral than us, and forget that they were once us.

  • For most, the appearance of innocence is the actuality of it.

Strange how man determine a thing's value by that which matters least- physicalities.

Things like this happen all the time. Always have, always will.

Everyone's human. Everyone makes mistakes. My grandpa has had 3 wives.

It is often a shock when we discover that our family is human. Try not to judge her too harshly. That one incident is a detail and not her entire being.

Human relationships are a strange thing. Most of us are searching for a life partner. Do you want to be wrong when you're dealing with the rest of your life?

You never know when you're going to meet someone with whom you spark a connection. You never know how many people you will meet who you will develop feelings for. Everyone has their own ideas of right and wrong, but nobody *truly* knows. Just accept the fact that we all lived, we all made "mistakes", and how can you expect someone to do better than the best they know?

It's normal to be shocked, but cut her some slack, everyone makes mistakes.

Two timing bitch. This is why I stay single, if someone took my girl, at this point in my life it would result in their homicide. You do not take someones fiance, this pisses me off. I'm not crazy but for love, I would kill.
