Is it normal that i'm really not mad at my roomie?

Ok, just the other day I hung out with my neighbors for just a little bit after I had gotten back from my internship because I had to get some homework done, which was basically last minute. So I hungout for about 30 minutes and then went onto my homework. I ended up working on it until about 4am.

But today I just found out that apparently one of my co-workers at my internship had knocked on our door that same night to ask me something around 1am. My roomie didn't answer the door, just locked it. Then she went and shut the blinds.

I asked her about it and she said that she wasn't going to answer the door that late when there were parties going on. Me personally would of answered it just fine and there weren't really much in the way of parties going on in the first place just the one that my neighbor was having. It just doesn't make sense to me; she even says that our neighbors are nice.??

Oh just so you know we happen to live in an apartment complex area. And I told me co-worker that I lived in the same one as him and told him our address number.

But some reason I'm not really mad just a little annoyed at the thought. It was rather rude in my thoughts.

It would be pointless to get mad over something so trivial.

I also would not answer the door in the middle of the night, and it scares me if someone knocks that late.

She is right who comes to the door at 1AM she deserves to sleep . Just becuase you think it is normal to knock at all hours of the night does not mean its polite and normal . Its rude to come knocking at 1AM unless its Deadly important you are the rude one for not considering everyone elses feelings .

I believe she owes you a buck double from Burger King for that one. Zombies could have been taking over at that very moment, perfect timing 1am? Definitely zombie taking-over time.

He could have been trying to warn you to get to the evacuation areas in the city. Your roomie gonna get you killed doing stuff like that.

I personally would answer my door, but I live in a very nice apartment complex too so its no worries. I would not be mad at her either, she was just acting in the best way she knew how to stay safe!

    Normal.
I don't see why any reasonable person would be angry about that. Some people find it a little seedy for one to be knocking on their door so late at night. I'd be pretty cautious too.

Besides, if your co-worker really has something important to say, she'll get a hold of you.

I would never answer my door in the middle of the night while I'm home alone. I don't care who says what. I also don't give a crap who feels annoyed by my safety precautions.
They can call, text, or wait til morning.

your roomie did the right thing, why would he knock your door at 1 am? and if he had to ask you something why didn't he text you?

It depends on her comfort level. Many people can become scared and distrustful at night, it's rather understandable. Talk to her if you're annoyed.
