Is it normal that i'm producing milk?

About a month and a half ago my breasts started producing milk. I'm not, nor have I ever been pregnant, and I don't take any medication that would make me produce anything. I got blood work done and the results came back "normal".
I don't think it's normal! So, please vote.
Ladies, has this ever happened to you/someone you know?

This only happened to me when I had my daughter. So I'd say this isn't normal.

But look on the bright side. You're gonna save so much money on milk!

Have you had a pregnancy scare?

If you fear being pregnant your body can actually have a phantom pregnancy and you produce milk. Not joking!

    • Nope. Never had a scare. I've been on the shot for about 2 years, and I took a test when I started producing, and that came back negative. But aside from that there was no worry about being pregnant.

Get your horomone levels checked. I doubt it'll harm you, but its probably an indication of some horomone imbalance.

Your doctor can do a blood test, or send you to the clinic whose lab they use. Before you go, try and write down anything like diet changes, your menstrual schedule, medications or vitamins (whether you think it matters or not... Doctors need all the info!), any other changes you noticed (period is lighter, darker facial hair, weight gain...), etc.

I have no idea. That never happened to me, however, I did have a baby and STILL can push milk out, even though he is two and hasnt been breast fed since eight months

Raging hormones? Or like Joybird said, it could be a phantom pregnancy.

Don't worry. This happened to me about a month ago and I'm a virgin. I was terrified, however, I consulted with my mother and other females and it's just part of becoming a woman.
