Is it normal that i'm pissed off by gender stereotypes and issues?
(not in some extreme "sjw" way or whatever)
There are two parts here, one about stereotypes and one about issues.
1. It pisses me off when people say that guys can't wear makeup or do whatever they want but then if girls play sports or do something "masculine" it's accepted and they're at most labelled as a lesbian. Guys meanwhile have gotten killed for wearing dresses or makeup, and I just don't get it. It especially pisses me off when guys say that females are "only meant for the kitchen" and things like that, because I feel like they're misrepresenting the rest of us. This then leads to females saying stupid things like "every guy is an asshole, don't even try. why are loving, cute guys so rare? guys only want sex." Meanwhile, I'm the opposite. I consider myself very emotional and caring and whatever else. It just pisses me off, I don't know.
2. I hate this whole "2 genders" issue. I personally believe there's more than two genders, but we just don't need like 50 or whatever. I think that regardless of what someone believes, they shouldn't tell others that what they feel is wrong. NOBODY IS HURTING YOU BY BEING THEMSELVES. Why does nobody realise that we just need to leave this shit alone and let people be happy???? Someone doesn't feel like male or female fits them and they're happier using they/them pronouns, it's not a big fucking deal. We already use they/them pronouns for singular people when we don't know their gender or are trying to keep them anonymous, so why is it so fucking angering to some people? Why do people need to go to the point of using terms like "special snowflake" when all anybody wants to do is be happy?
I understand when people get pissed off at extremists that hate cisgender people or whatever, but that's such a small amount of people that don't represent anybody else at all.
Sorry that this was so long, I'm just really fucking done with the fact that nobody can seem to let anybody else be happy.
