About 10 yrs ago my dad was shot and killed ever since then I've been scard to death even those little pop cap gun is this normal because when my dad was alive he kept guns in the house for emergencies but i wasn't scared until he died
Guns dont kill people, people kill people. But i understand you being afraid of guns, i would recomend getting a gun youself for protection.
Im in Texas, guns are everywhere and everybody has them. Im def not afraid of guns.
When you go through an experience that traumatizing, it's natural to fear things... like car accidents after a friend is killed by a drunk driver. Guns are dangerous in the wrong hands, but maybe you can work through it by becoming more educated about them and more familiar with the safety aspects by visiting a local gun range.
You could take a firearms safety class. Even though you are not a gun owner, it might help you control your fear.
When you think about it guns is used in so many ways to make you think it's not even harmful, but we know the truth!!
Normal fear, whats weird is alot of people don't realise how dangerous guns are..
Nothing has happened to me directly and i'm still petrified of guns. Call it self preservation.
Now, given your experience, it would be abnormal if you WEREN'T afraid of them.
