That's silly. I think it would be hard to kill yourself with a laptop unless you try bashing your head in with it but that's not very practical. And why did you look up suicide? Don't do it.
Well try explaining to her why you looked it up, and that you have no intention to kill yourself.
Parents tend to do that. Same thing happened to me the other day, only I was looking up ways to dispose off a body, normal stuff and my mother took my laptop away. It sucks.
It depends WHY you were looking up suicide. Were you just wondering? Or are actully trying to find waays to kill yourself?
I think that depends on the context. Were you looking up "top ten most messy ways I can kill myself without my mom finding out and stopping me", or were you looking up "school project on causes of suicide"?
Even then, the last reaction I'd expect from a caring parent if their kid was contemplating suicide would be to ban him/her from using their laptop upstairs. That's a useless precaution. Send them to a psychiatrist, don't ban them from using a computer by themselves.
Not normal.
I'm sure my parents would have done the same thing. Also, if you're considering suicide, you might want to talk to a doctor of some kind.
Depends if you were actualy considering it or just curious. Either way she's doing it because she cares about you so I'd say normal.
