Is it normal that i'm jealous of animals?

Let's be honest...as long as animals don't live in captivity, they have as much freedom as they want.
I'm so thirsty about freedom, independency and everything related to them.
I had no intimacy when I was young and my parents were always telling me what to do.
I got sick of that and I'm willing to start a new life, but I don't know how...let's not get far away from the main subject,is it normal to be jealous of animals?

Certainly not. Let's talk about all the cons of being a animal (even though we humans are animals too):

-Animals in the wild are at risk for being poached; loss of habitat, largely due to us humans; extinction; dangerous diseases like Rabies; at risk for being preyed upon by a another animal, etc.

    -Being mysteriously mutilated.

-The risk of being abused by owners or random humans.

-They have no say in their medical treatment. If you are old or badly behaved you could be put down.

    -Parasites, Fleas, and Ticks.

~ This all that I can think of for now but let ask you; Would you still want to be an animal?

We are animals, but I get what you mean.

Whilst you might romanticise the life of a wild animal, for most creatures it's a dangerous and short existence. Most animals are somewhere below the top of the food chain which means they can have many predators. Many have to struggle every day to find enough food to eat (whilst avoiding being eaten). Many fight constantly over territory or food. Many die of easily treatable diseases.

In fact, I'd say it'd be better to be an animal in captivity (cared for by passionate professionals) or a domestic pet with good owners.

Even then I'm not sure it'd be preferable to being human.

You could alway throw off the shackles of society for a while - go and live in the forest or something. Watch 'Into The Wild', I think you might appreciate the sentiment.

I am jealous of animals. They get to do whatever they want and get to be lazy. And I have to study, work, help my girlfriend in the house, do sports, pay for stuff....

Right now I'm pretty depressed. I walked passed a pigeon today wishing I was a pigeon.

I love my independance. I was tired of getting told what do to, and how and when to do it.

That being said, im not really jealous of animals in general, but rather one animal in particular. A bird. Think about it: birds can fly, go anywhere they want. I dont want to be a bird, i just want freedom.
So, personally i would say its normal, but maybe thats just me.

Oh well after all, animals aren't intelligent enough to realize their freedom is a gift... Also they have to worry about other things such as surviving which makes the freedom much less enjoyable I'd say...
