Is it normal that i'm in love with my best friend?

I have known my best friend since we were high school freshman. We don't go to the same university and we don't live in the same state, but we talk almost every day for hours. We know each other inside and out, and I can't imagine my life without him being there for me. We have never done anything that normal friend and friend would do, but sometimes I wonder if we could ever be more than friends. We flirt a lot, and I think we would be perfect for each other, as do many of my other friends.

In the past I dated a couple of people who we are both friends with, one of whom is his best friend. Though these relationships are far behind us, I don't know if it would still be awkward, as my exes MIT think that he is "just another number." I don't know if I should make a move or if I'm just feeling normal friendship love feelings.

    Please go for it. Bestfriends are meant to be together. He's probably feeling the exact same way, but he doesn't want to show it because he fears he'll lose you as a friend if you don't feel the same way. You two sound so happy together, you need to tell him. :)
