No, I was on suicide watch for three days myself during my one and only stay.
They don't let you do shit. I got fed up with boredom and tried to just walk out, I made it like ten feet from the room.
Oh boy.
Basically I got really drunk, beat the hell out of two people, then the cops had to chase me all over the city. When they caught me I went for one of their guns, he grabbed me and twisted my arm, putting the cuffs on. In the car he asked why I lunged at his holster and I said "to get the gun" he turned around and looked at me with the strangest expression. They then took me to hospital instead of the station, I was then admitted to psychiatric lock up for four days while doctors questioned me about all this stuff. The next day I tried to "walk out" or escape (and that's the weird thing, why would I escape? They're going to let me out anyway soon) from my section.
It was all because when I drink I lose the control of my impulses to the point that I feel like I'm floating behind my body, watching it go on on a rampage. I always just joke that "my mask slips off" when I drink heavily. My head doctor said I have an enormous amount of hostility under the surface, that she has seen it before but it's very uncommon. Something of a seething disgust toward both myself and others. So when I get drunk, it comes up, takes over and the shit hits the fan.
Yes the area I'm in lets us use computers eh.But I was in intensive care area for a while they didn't let us use computers there.Theres different levels of treatment thingys in this institution ,that I know of.
To the best ofy knowledge, the use of technology is severely restricted in auch a place. Not saying it's impossible, but...
Lucky you, they didn't have no computers at the place where they sent me to.
Yes, it's okay. It's a hospital to treat you just like any other hospital except they specialize in something different :)
