Is it normal that i'm having these crazy, bloody dreams?

Some medications cause vivid nightmares...

do you watch or play video games if so it could be linked to that, i know i get fucked up dreams if i play right before bed, also if its a lucid dream you could be subconsiusly troubled or trying to figure something out

perhaps you are unaware of what to beleive or somesort of emotional turmoil, but i totally understand im having these dreams too.

I think you are analyzing the dream to literally. The subconscious works in symbols and very rarely needs to be taken at face value. However each symbol is subjective to the viewer. I don't doubt that the scenes you experience scare you. I once had a nightmare with lots of blood but the reality of my waking life had some life issues I needed to work out.

To see blood in your dream, represents life, love, and passion as well as disappointments.

To see guts in your dream, represent fortitude, strength, and stamina. Consider the common phrase "you have a lot of guts"

To see angels in your dream, symbolize goodness, purity, protection, comfort and consolation.

To see demons in your dream, represent ignorance, negativity, distress or your shadow self. It also forewarns of overindulgence and letting lust give way to your better judgment. As a result, your physical and mental health may suffer.

To see someone wearing a mask in your dream, denotes that you are struggling against deceit, falsehood, and jealousy. If someone removes their mask, then it symbolizes failure in gaining the admiration and/or respect of someone sought for.

Or, perhaps, you eat too much spicy food.

You should write a book then make it into a movie

The nightmares I had when I was depressed were so gory that I thought they stole some of my dreams to write "Hostel".

I had terrible dreams when I was depressed, they were so gory and weird, even to the point that I would wake up in the middle of the night.

Maybe if it would help make you feel better, you could talk to your doctor, if only to be sure that things are okay and put your mind at ease.

Once I dreamed I'm god. I haven't woke up yet.

One time I dreampt I went on a stabbing spree in a mental hospital. At least I think it was a dream. Now im scared.

Yes I think it's normal, I have the craziest most violent dreams but I don't know whats stranger, the dreams or the fact I wake up buzzing because I love them so much?! Ahh I love horror films (ROLL ON SCREAM 4...even though it's more like a spoof now) so enjoy them! I'm kinda jealous!

BTW you only dream as your dozing off or just about to wake up, not when you're in a deep state of sleep, the amount of sleep you have doesn't affect how much you dream.
