Men have a problem with this. It's why, in cultures where men are still very dominant, they "circumcise" women by mutilating their genitals for no medical reason whatsoever. For the sole purpose of stopping women finding sexual pleasure. It's why women's genitals are sewn up. There is this thing called religion which takes the form of books written when men were dominant and they contain men's ideas of what a deity believes. Some religions make women cover their hair and faces so they don't attract male attention. Some religions say people who have sex before marriage should be stoned to death. They don't want people to be stoned to death. They just want them to be so scared of being stoned to death that they comply with men's will and don't have sex with others. Mythology includes things like the succubus which is both a way of saying women who want sex are actually a disguised demon, also implying it's wrong for women to want sex.

For every straight man having sex, a woman is also having sex. It's one of the very few areas where there is true equality. Whether men initiate it or not, a woman is still having sex with a man.

I could sit here and lecture you about it but that would be massively hypocritical because when I was 18 I also remember getting jealous over the same thing. You and I being jealous doesn't make other people wrong, though. It just means we're jealous and perhaps a bit insecure about certain things. The way of solving it isn't to change the world, but ourselves. It's what I did and I'm certainly happier for it.

And, if it means anything right now, a lot of people don't confess to being virgins at 18 when actually they are. There are more out there than you think.

I had sex with my then boyfriend at 14 about to turn 15. Was I slut? Hell no. I was as far removed from being a slut as you could possibly be.

I loved him and he loved me or puppy-love as people may call it. But we used a condom and made sure we wanted to do it because of both of us not one of us. Just cause a girl has sex before 18, seriously doesn't make her a slut.

A girl can have a lot of sex and not be a slut. It could all be with one guy.

This is a theory of mine that I believe could answer your question. Understand this though; boy talk to get information and girls talk to make friends.

In each social group there is an "alpha male." This person has the respect of everyone in the group, including the women. All girls want is acceptance, as opposed to guys who want superiority. For example, in high school a lot of guys brag about there sexual activities with girls. Here's my theory. I think girls believe that unless they "put out" they're doomed to be secluded from the rest of the group. There are a lot of expectations on women nowadays, sometimes they just give in. It's sad but there are a few girls who still believe in love and are willing to wait.
