Is it normal that i'm attracted to serial killers?

I know, I know, I'm dilusional for saying this, but I'm really, really attracted to serial killers (the good-looking ones, that is.) I don't know why, because if they weren't convicted murderers or rapists, they aren't necessarily really handsome to me. I know if I met them in person, my opinion would most likely change (hellooo, nobody can fix a serial killer!), but I still find Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc so hot - but most of all, I really want to fuck Paul Bernardo. Is that really really weird or somewhat understandable?!

    Paul Bernardo is in prison in Canada. Parole boards there seem to often give psychopathic rapists and murderers the benefit of the doubt. His accomplice got out after only twelve years in prison, so maybe there's a chance of all your dreams coming true.

    As an added bonus, you could end up receiving a posthumous Darwin Award.

      He's been deemed a dangerous offender and they can keep him put away indefinitely under that statute. Bernardo will never breath free air. He shouldn't be breathing at all. No way he will ever get out.

      n 2006, Bernardo gave a prison interview suggesting that he had reformed and would make a good parole candidate.[26][27] He became eligible to petition a jury to be allowed to apply for early parole in 2008 under the faint hope clause (since he committed multiple murders before the 1997 criminal-code amendment), but did not do so. In 2015, Bernardo became eligible (and applied) for day parole in Toronto. According to the victims' lawyer, Tim Danson, it is unlikely that Bernardo will ever be released from prison because of his dangerous offender status.[28] Bernardo is ineligible to apply for full parole until February 17, 2018.[29] In September 2013 he was moved from Kingston Penitentiary (which was closing) to Millhaven Institution in Bath, Ontario, where he is reportedly segregated from the other inmates.[30]

          No problem. They have him in segregation because of repeated attacks by other inmates. Even prisoners don't take to kindly to child rapists/killers. I hope he dies of loneliness. Homolka would have gotten the same sentence if they had found those tapes before she made her 12 year deal with the prosecutors. If there is a hell, both of them are going straight to it when they die.

            I read that Jeffrey Dahmer was killed by a group of inmates that attacked him. He was such a sick fuck that I guess the guards and warden purposely left him in general population and just sat back hoping that it was just a matter of time, which it was.

              On the morning of November 28, 1994, Dahmer left his cell to conduct his assigned work detail. Accompanying him were two fellow inmates: Jesse Anderson and Christopher Scarver. The trio was left unsupervised in the showers of the prison gym for approximately 20 minutes. At approximately 8:10 a.m.[224] Dahmer was discovered on the floor of the bathrooms of the gym suffering from extreme head and facial[225] wounds; he had been severely bludgeoned about the head and face with a 20-inch (51 cm) metal bar.[226] His head had also been repeatedly struck against the wall in the assault.[227] Although Dahmer was still alive and was rushed to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead one hour later. Anderson had also been beaten with the same instrument, and died two days later from his wounds.[220][228] Scarver, who was serving a life sentence for a murder committed in 1990, informed authorities he had first attacked Dahmer with the metal bar as he (Dahmer) was cleaning a staff locker room, before attacking Anderson as he (Anderson) cleaned an inmate locker room. According to Scarver, Dahmer did not yell or make any noise as he was attacked. Immediately after attacking both men, Scarver, who was thought to be schizophrenic, returned to his cell and informed a prison guard: "God told me to do it. Jesse Anderson and Jeffrey Dahmer are dead."[229][227][230] Scarver was adamant he had not planned the attacks in advance,[231] although he would later divulge to investigators he had concealed the 20-inch iron bar used to kill both men in his clothing shortly before the killings.[230]

              He asked to be put in the general population and he and another inmate were beaten to death with an iron bar while on a work detail in the prison gym by one man named Scarver, a black dude. You can find out a lot on Wiki.

    I don't know if it's normal, but it's definitely common among girls. Every one of those killers has thousands of groupies worldwide with their fan clubs and all. And they all find them extremely hot. This last year alone, I must've come across four or five of these "I find serial killers hot" posts just on this site. When that Charleston shooter was sentenced to death, I remember reading many of his groupies saying they locked themselves in their room crying when they learnt this.

    It's partly due to rockstar status. For better or worse, these guys earn fame in society, everyone talks about them, and people are fascinated by them. They are effectively celebrities. If Akon were a nobody, most girls wouldn't find him handsome; but since he's a hot shot, he's like "omg so hawt!"

    Plus, murderers are the ultimate badasses, which just adds to their attractiveness, and tends to increase their status even more among the masses who won't shut up about them.

    So this whole aura of dangerousness about them + the mythical status they acquire is more enough power to make any woman weak in the knees just thinking about them, or being around them, or what they might do to them. Because arousal in females generally accompanies these feelings of awe/fascination/admiration/fear/respect.

    People who rape and kill are lameass losers. It's because they are lameass losers who are über insecure with no self-esteem that they end up as rapists and killers. There's nothing sexy about those people.

      Sure, yes, they are losers, but low self esteem and insecurity in psychopaths? We're talking about some of the most confident, charming, self-obsessed lunatics out there. They look a themselves as Gods, and believe they're superior to everybody else (especially the guards).

        Many of these school shooters did have low self-esteem and were going on about how no girl found them attractive nor charming. That's what a guy like Elliot Rodger bitched about in his final writings. He certainly didn't think he was superior or godlike. Same for that Sandy Hook kid, I forgot his name.

        The funny thing is, it was only after he committed his murders and died that all his female classmates started going on about how cute he was in their tweets, i.e. the very thing he killed himself over.

            I don't know about cowards. Rodger stabbed three guys with a knife, multiple times. The Columbine and Sandy Hook guys put themselves in a situation where they were alone and outnumbered in a room full of people before they started shooting, and didn't seem to care about getting killed in the process. Arguably those actions take more guts then the premeditated one-on-one killings of other murderers.

            I will give you that these shooters tend to be physically unattractive. It's also hard for any grown woman to be attracted to teenagers.

    Okay well, it is messed up to think of a serial killer the same way a teenage girl would after seeing a picture of Harry Styles. Thinking of someone romantically after learning they raped, killed, tortured (etc) someone is not okay. But, it's not wrong to acknowledge if they're attractive cause that's just natural, it's just wrong to think of a person like Dahmer or Bundy romantically or have admiration for them.

            If they weren't mass killers, they would've remained practically nobodies. And you wouldn't have heard nor cared about them to begin with. Around 30,000 rapes occur every year in America, and nobody but the concerned and their relatives know the names or the faces of those who commit them. Rape isn't enough to give someone that kind of notoriety. Nor is a single murder.

            You have to kill several people to acquire celebrity status (and the TV coverage, and movies, and admirers, and groupies, and everything that goes with it). At least in America.
