Is it normal that i'm ashamed to be american/jewish?

All over the Internet, I hear people saying that "whites are inherently evil," and "Jews always find a way to take credit for other people's work," and "Americans are all obnoxious and lazy." Is it normal that I believe them? I'm constantly ashamed for being a white American Jew, and I'm always worried that I'll meet someone who thinks like that and that they'll attack me somehow. Do you feel this way too?

I personally think it's sad, Sugar. Sure there are people who fit negative stereotypes out there which is why those stereotypes exist but you don't have to define yourself by those negative stereotypes. Just be yourself. If you don't fit a negative ethnic stereotype then don't waste your time with fearful obsessing about the possibility of meeting a bigot. I'm Catholic and I've met plenty of anti-Catholic bigots in my life. I just figure those people are ignorant! Don't be ashamed of yourself because of people who are so ignorant that they would judge you without ever knowing you. You deserve better than that!

Opinions really are like assholes honey, and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Know what I do whenever someone has a problem with me for any reason? I stop caring about that persons opinion because if they cant accept someone for the way they are, ESPECIALLY on circumstances far outside of individual control... we dont get to choose our race... then they arent worth shit, and theyre definitely not worth the trouble to yourself.
